Bruce Springsteen is back on the top of US Billboard, selling over 77,000 copies of 'Magic' this week, reported Nielsen SoundScan. Kid Rock's "Rock N Roll Jesus" (Atlantic) fell to the second place, and Rascal Flatts' "Still Feels Good" made it third. While Josh Groban's holiday album 'Noel', and Jimmy Eat World's 'Chase This Light'reached reached the forth and fifth spots, respectively.

Bruce Springsteen's wife Patti Scialfa drunk tequila to record a song on her new album "Play It As It Lays" in order to portray the character she'd created. The rocker boosed to reach the spirit for "Bad For You", which is about a drunk woman flirting in a bar. "I wanted to get to that person in the song: the girl that's drinking, maybe flirting too much and sending signals she shouldn't be sending. "The recording studio was too sterile for that, so I drank a tonne of tequila, smoked a lot of cigarettes and sang it. I know I sang out of tune, but I liked it, " Scialfa was quoted as saying.

Bruce Springsteen has praised Raspberries performance by calling them "great underrated power pop masters” on the liner notes of their new album. Springsteen, a huge fan of the band, has helped with the liner notes to new live album Live On Sunset Strip – for the first release of the group in thirty years. He also says, "Their best records are as fun and sound as fresh today as when they were released. Soaring choruses, Beach Boys harmonies over crunchy Who guitars."
Bruce Springsteen may perform at the Bell Centre - 2007-04-26
According to reports, Bruce Springsteen will make a performance at the Bell Centre, Canada, this fall, though it hasn’t been confirmed yet. Nick Farkas, director of talent booking for Gillett Entertainment Group, revealed, "We're working on it”. "We don't know if it will happen. We have no clue. We're just looking at dates." Meanwhile, Gillett and Springsteen's agents are in talks to schedule for October. |
